In middle school volleyball, area teams competed at the St Peter Tournament over the weekend.
The Lady Bobcats finished 3rd with a win over Selmaville in their final game 10-21, 21-11, 15-7 in a tight match. Salem opened the tournament with 2 win on Friday before falling to the host Lady Saints in 3 sets to finish pool play and drop them to the 3rd place match. Franklin Park returns to action tonight at Patoka.
Selmaville opened with a loss to Altamont Lutheran (9-21, 17-21), but defeated Trinity/St Mary (21-7, 21-12) and Centralia (21-14, 21-18, 16-14) to advance to the 3rd place game against Franklin Park. Alan Finney and Kaolin Lewis were the top servers for the Lady Rockets.
