UNDATED (AP) — Jahmir Young scored 22 points and Donta Scott recorded a double-double and Maryland distanced itself in the second half en route to a 73-55 win over Wisconsin. Scott’s jump shot with 9:10 remaining put the Terrapins up 59-49 and Maryland led by double digits the rest of the way. Connor Essegian led Wisconsin with 19 points.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Trayce Jackson-Davis had 25 points and 21 rebounds, and scored the go-ahead basket in the final minute to lead Indiana to a 61-57 victory over short-handed Minnesota. Indiana’s Race Thompson made the first of two free-throw attempts to tie the score at 57 with 43 seconds remaining. After the missed second free throw, Jackson-Davis grabbed the offensive rebound and scored on the putback for a 59-57 lead. After Minnesota’s Ta’lon Cooper missed a 3-pointer, Trey Galloway hit two free throws with eight seconds left for the Hoosiers. Jackson-Davis blocked Cooper’s layup with four seconds left and, after an offensive rebound, Joshua Ola-Joseph missed a jumper for the Golden Gophers.

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Ty Berry made six 3-pointers and scored 26 points, Boo Buie added 17 points and Northwestern beat Nebraska 78-63. It was the second of three games in five days for Northwestern, which had two games postponed last week due to a COVID-19 pause. The Wildcats play Minnesota on Saturday. Northwestern closed the first half by scoring the final 10 points, with 3-pointers from Berry and Buie, to build a 43-30 lead. The Wildcats pulled away midway through the second half on a 12-3 run for a 63-40 lead. Chase Audige had 15 points and Matthew Nicholson added eight for Northwestern. The Wildcats beat Nebraska for the seventh straight time — doing so against a Big Ten opponent for the first time since 1958-62.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota sidelined leading scorer Dawson Garcia and top reserve Pharrel Payne for the game against Indiana due to injuries that further depleted the last-place team in the Big Ten. Hoosiers coach Mike Woodson also was ruled out because of COVID-19. Garcia has a bone bruise in his right foot. Payne was placed in the concussion protocol. The return timetable for both players was to be determined. Backup guard Braeden Carrington will be out at least another three weeks because of a stress reaction in his right leg. Forwards Parker Fox and Isaiah Ihnen suffered season-ending ACL injuries last summer.
