A 41-year-old rural Salem man has pleaded guilty in Marion County Court to four of ten child pornography charges pending against him.
Anthony Phillips of McCoy Road pleaded guilty to possession of four digital images of children under the age of 13 in a lewd exhibition. All six of the photos had been uploaded in October 2020. The other six counts involved photos updated on two other dates.
A sentencing hearing is set for March 7th following a presentence investigation.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department earlier reported the digital images were recovered when members of the Illinois Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Marion County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant on his home in November 2021.
