A 30-year-old rural Odin man has been charged in Marion County Court in connection with the felony theft of money from Domino’s Pizza in Salem.
Stephen Kantner of Delmar Avenue was picked up by Salem Police while he was in Salem on Monday. Police had been looking for him since last October.
Salem Police say Kantner was a closer for Domino’s and on six nights in October failed to take the nightly deposit to the bank. After being confronted and reportedly fired from his job, Kantner later completed three of the deposits. However, police say the other $2,600 from the other three deposits was not returned.
The bond for Kantner during his first court appearance was set at $3,000. A public defender was appointed to represent him. His first appearance was set for February 7th.
