The Salem Wildcats dropped to 5-14 on the season with their loss at 5th ranked Breese Central 61-22. Salem scored the first basket of the game off the opening tip, but it was the only advantage they would have the rest of the game. Central pulled away from a 22-10 halftime lead in the 3rd quarter outscoring Salem 23-5 in the frame. Salem is off until the opening of the Salem Invitational Tournament when they will play Thursday in the night’s first game against top-seed East St Louis.
The Mount Vernon Rams made it 2 wins this season over Centralia, winning at Trout Arena last night 43-39. Navontae Nesbitt Jr led Mount Vernon with 19, Rolan Adams added 8. Jones led Centralia with 15 and Harlan added 12.
The 10th ranked Christ Our Rock Stallions improved to 16-0 with a 69-39 win over Bunker Hill. The Stallions are ranked for the first time in program history. Parker Boehne eld the Stallions with 17, Ryan Wuebbels added 12 and Christian Noleman had 10 along with Dallas Fair. The Stallions host Alton Marquette in a varsity only contest today at 5pm.
The SC Cougars are 13-6 after dropping their 2nd straight conference game, this time at home to Dieterich 37-30. Aidan Dodson had 17 to lead SC.
Nick Lampe scored 17 for Mater Dei but it wasn’t enough as they fell to St Anthony 56-52. Grffin Sehy led the Bulldogs with 18.
