The Salem Lady Cats ran into a buzz saw in the 3rd place game of the Benton Holiday Tournament falling to Christopher 60-36. It was the Amiah Hargrove show as the 6-2 junior scored 51 points scoring 11 in the opening quarter and adding 19 more in the 2nd and 16 in the 3rd. Christopher bounced back after Benton handed them their first loss of the year in overtime in the semifinals earlier in the day. Marah Johnson led Salem with 7 who fell to the Mount Vernon Lady Rams in their semifinal 75-44.
Congratulations to Salem’s Emma Gregg for making the All Tournament Team. She joins a trio of Lady Rams with Tiara Johnson, Kamaree Pollard and Justice Malone.
