At the Waltonville Junior High Boys Tournament, South Central opened up with a 58-23 win over North Wamac/Irvington to improve to 12-4 on the season. Westin Neilson and Sebastian Kruger had 16 each for SC with Luke Shumate adding 8. The Falcons will play Waltonville tomorrow in the semifinal with a trip to the championship on the line starting at 7:30.
The winner will get Raccoon who advanced to the championship following their 59-29 win over Johnston City. It was the return of Mike Organ as the all time leading scorer at Raccoon has missed the last several games with an ankle injury. He came back to go 10-of-16 from the field for 24 points and grabbing 12 rebounds to go with 4 assists. Caden Lamb added 14 and Tyler Carruthers 11.
