The Salem Wildcat bowling teams each won the Columbia Tournament. The Wildcats dominated as they sat their top 2 starters out of the morning session to let the underclassmen get some lane time and their 3rd starter was unavailable. Those underclassmen led Salem to the #1 seed after the morning heading into bracket play. The 3474 score for the first three meant the morning team had a 231.5 individual average.
Salem also set a new school record for a six game series at 6958. That’s an 1159 team average with a 231.9 for each bowler. 4 separate bowlers had 275 or higher games. Kannon King 299, Rhett Detering 279, Charlie Hunter 279, Nick Gregg 279 and 276. King was 2nd overall and Gregg 5th.
The Lady Wildcats also shot their highest game of the day in the tournament championship to beat a good Carterville team. Jaeda Rollinson had a 244 game and was 5th overall with a 186 average. Ava Birch had a 229.
