Bobcats Win 8th Straight, Open Benton Tournament With Win
The Franklin Park Bobcats made it 8 straight wins with their 57-37 win to open the Benton Tournament over the previously undefeated hosts. Landen Maxey and Payton Gullion combined for 6 made three’s as Maxey led the way with 15, Gullion added 11, Trey Clark finished with 9, Avery Gullion 7 and Keytin Grawe added 6. Franklin Park is right back in regular season action tonight at home against Effingham.
Rockets Knock Off Odin
The Selmaville Rockets beat Odin 40-20 to improve to 8-5 on the season. Wyatt McCarty led Selmaville with 13 points and 5 steals, Riley Tate added 9 points and 8 rebounds, Logan Butts 8 points and 6 boards. Brady Haines led Odin with 9 and Kayson Timmons finished with 6. The Rockets also won the JV game 40-19 as Logan Butts and Cory Cano had 8 each and Jaxon Ward added 7. Kaysen Taylor led Odin with 4 along with Haines. Selmaville hosts Rome tonight at 6pm.
Pirates Get Big Games From Bevolo & Wombles In Win
Iuka knocked off Irvington/North Wamac 61-43 as Kaeden Bevolo led Iuka with 21 points and 6 assists and Leland Wombles added 16 points and 10 rebounds. Dameon Wooden led the Indian Eagles with 17 points and Azlynn Witthaus-Strait added 13. North Wamac won the JV game 25-24 as Jaxon Neal led NWI with 8. Landon White had 12 for the Pirates who host Altamont Lutheran tonight.
Organ’s 34/15 Double-Double Lifts Raccoon Over Willow Grove
Raccoon got 34 points and 15 rebounds from Michael Organ as they beat Willow Grove 61-27. Caden Lamb finished with 12 for the Devils and Lukas Deomes added 10. Raccoon is 10-2 on the season. John Organ scored 23 and Cody Bear 13 as the JV won 47-4.
