The Oil Belt Conference recently completed its 2022 Girl’s Jr. High basketball tournament. The tournament was held at Central City Grade School and Field Grade School. The Selmaville Lady Rockets defeated the Field Panthers for the Championship. The Raccoon Lady Devils downed the Iuka Lady Pirates in the 3rd place game. In the Consolation Championship game, Central City defeated Odin Jr. Lady Eagles.
Also, the 2022 OBC girl softball awards were handed out prior to the championship game. Players honored for making the All-Conference team were Allie Hustedde, Keira Meredith, and Kaolin Lewis of Selmaville, Addy Dukes of Central City, Maya Braddy and Emily Parrett of Raccoon, Kinley Haines of Odin, Kaylee Heck and Paige Watson of Field and Katee Sellers of Iuka. McKenna VanDaveer of Central City was Honorable Mention.
