Wesclin Beats Centralia For State Farm Classic Title
In middle school basketball at the State Farm Classic in Wesclin, the hosts knocked off Centralia 39-31. JaShawn Staples led Centralia with 13, Jaxson Hancock finished with 10 and LaKendrick Bratton finished with 7. Wesclin was led by Gavin Rahm with 17. Hancock and Bratton were both selected to the All Tournament Team.
Goewey Leads Central City Over Selmaville
Selmaville fell to Central City 76-27. Archie Goewey led the Citians with 22, Preston Feig added 12 and Kade Jackson 11 along with Kruz Jackson. Riley Tate led Selmaville with 10 and Wyatt McCarty added 7. The JV Rockets fell 53-34. Gavin Harper paced the Rockets with 10 and Logan Butts added 9. For Central City, Kade Jackson finished with 18 and Jeff King added 12. Selmaville will play today at the Rend Lake Shootout against Summersville.
