The Franklin Park Bobcats cross country team competed at the very tough Highland Invitational racing against some of the best runners in the state of Illinois.
The varsity boys race featured a battle of 2 unbeatens on the season with Granite City’s Landon Harris and Salem’s Alex Spencer. Harris finished the 1.8 mile course in a blistering time of 9:40.
Spencer PR’d in a fantastic time of 10:08 for 2nd, Salem’s Payton Gullion added a PR time of 10:29 for 3rd and Avery Gullion PR’d in 10:39 for 8th to help the varsity Bobcats take 1st place as a team.
The girls battled but came up short in placing. Kendall Zimmermann medaled coming in 7th in a time of 11:57.
