Bobcats Fall In 9 Innings

The Franklin Park Bobcats fell to visiting Wesclin 12-11 in 9 innings in a long game yesterday at Bobcat Field.  The Bobcats trailed 9-6 in their final at bat but scored a pair to send it to extra’s.  After Wesclin scored 2 times in the 8th, Salem answered to tie it and send it to the 9th but ran out of gas.  Keytin Grawe drove in 3 runs on the day, 2 RBI from Landon Maxey and Kyler King.  Also driving in Salem runs were Evan Barnes, Jaret Gibson and Max Vincent.  Scout Puricelli scored twice and Payton Gullion singled and scored.  Barnes, Landon Tennyson, Gibson, Grawe and Vincent each pitched in the game.  Franklin Park will host Casey Mt Vernon Monday for 8th grade day and are 15-4 on the season.


SC Wins On 8th Grade Night

The SC Falcons celebrated their 8th grade day with a 9-1 win over visiting Brownstown.  Colton Cartright, Kaiden Harrell, Garret Shumate and Sebastian Kruger all doubled.  Harrell, Ryker Dodson and Tyson Jones drove in 2 runs each with RBI also from Kruger and Cartright.  Garret and Luke Shumate had a hit and 2 runs each, Aidan Hoover also singled.  Cartright was the winning pitcher going all 7 innings allowing 4 hits and 1 run with 5 strikeouts and just 1 walk.  The SC Falcons will play at Windsor today.


Organ Leads Raccoon/Kell Past Patoka

Raccoon/Kell beat Patoka 7-5.  Michael Organ drove in 4 runs on 3 hits including a triple.  Organ also went 6 innings on the mound allowing 4 runs on 4 hits and struck out 14.  Lance Nix was the starter for Patoka surrendering 3 runs on 2 hits over 4 innings.  Alton Davis had a multi hit game for Raccoon/Kell as well.


Central City Edges Field

Central City snagged a late lead and beat Field 5-2.  The game was tied at 2 in the bottom of the fifth when Preston Feig broke the tie with a double.  Will Stanton earned the win going 4 innings allowing 2 runs on 3 hits and struck out 4 with Feig working the final 3 innings for the save.  Kruz Jackson had 2 hits to lead the Citians.

Breese knocked off Aviston 12-9.

Selmaville is at home against Patoka.
