Franklin Park Holds Off Wesclin

The Franklin Park Lady Bobcats earned a tough, ugly, gritty win over visiting Wesclin 11-8.  Reaan Shuler was the winning pitcher going 5.  Abigail Thompson was goo in her 2 innings of relief to get the save.  Mya Russell drove in 3 runs with RBI also from Quinn Wolfe, Alli Thurman, Shuler and Thompson.  Teagan Lobek was on base every time.


Meredith New Strikeout Queen At Selmaville With Perfection

There is a new strikeout Queen at Selmaville.  Keira Meredith threw a perfect 4-inning game striking out all 12 batters she faced in a 19-0 win over Odin in 4 innings.  Meredith entered the game just 5 strikeouts shy of Delaney Kell’s school single season record of 148,the new mark is 155 with 3 more starts for sure.  Kaolin Lewis went 3-3 at the plate.  Selmaville also secured the regular season OBC title going 5-0 in conference play and are 10-6 overall.  The Lady Rockets will play a jv game against Carlyle on Monday.  Then Tuesday they play at Patoka and then will finish the regular season Wednesday at Sandoval.


DeSmith Helps Rome To 14-0

Rome improved to 14-0 with their 5-2 win over Woodlawn.   Taylor DeSmith was the winning pitcher striking out 14 in her 7 innings of work allowing just 6 hits.  She also went 3-4 at the plate

Aviston fell to Breese 13-8.

Carlyle was shutout by Okawville 12-0 in 4 innings.
