The Salem Wildcats opened up their prep soccer season at FCC Fields yesterday with a 6-1 loss to visiting Murphysboro. Freshman Eli Baker scored the only Wildcats goal as they open up the St Anthony/Teutopolis tournament tonight at 5:45 with a game against Harrisburg at Teutopolis.

The Centralia Orphans beat visiting Christ Our Rock 8-0. The Orphans got 2 goals each from Andrew Martin and Grayson White with lone goals from Peyton Cole, Drew Camp, Kyle Pelaez and JT Nierman.
Freeburg and coach Krauss got his first career win as they Midgets opened up the Metro Cup with a 1-0 win over Highland.
