The organizer of the National Boat Racing Association and US Title Series held over the weekend at Raccoon Lake says is pleased with how the competition went off.

Al Owen says there were a total of 115 entries with 58 trailers from about a dozen states.

“We are here at the races and had a really good turnout, beautiful weather, and really good races over the weekend.  All of the drivers really loved Centralia and Raccoon Lake.  We have been very blessed to have a good weekend.”

Owen had a second-place finish in the 500 hydroplane and third-place finish in the E Runabout.   Another Centralia competitor, Courtney Thayer, finished second in the C Mod Hydroplane and third in the C-Stock, A Hydroplane, and 20 Modified Hydro classes.

Owen plans on organizing the event again next summer.   He’s pleased with how the sponsorship with Castle Ridge has worked out.   The races could be viewed from Castle Ridge, which offered vendors, food trucks, musical performances, and other attractions.
