The Franklin Park Lady Bobcats opened up their softball season with a 20-0 win over visiting Odin yesterday. Mya Russell went 3-3 with a 3-run inside-the-park home run. Morgan Honerkamp added 2 RBI and was the winning pitcher. Reagan Shuler added 3 RBI in the win. Salem returns to action today at home when they host South Central.
Selmaville opened their season by beating Field 8-4 . Keira Meredith went the distance striking out 15 batters only giving up 4 hits. She also went 2-3 at the plate with a single, triple and 4 RBIs. Her battery mate Alli Hustedde went 1-2 with a double and 2 RBIs. Alli Cavin went 1-2 and an RBI. Shelby Johnson also had a single and scored 2 runs! 5th grader Alana Howe had 4 stolen bases and scored 2 runs as a courtesy runner! We are 1-0 and we will play the winner of Odin and Field Friday in the semifinals of the OBC Tournament at Odin.
