The Senior American Legion Baseball State Tournament is down to the final 2 teams after games yesterday at The Hill in Aviston.
The host Express advanced to today’s state title game with a win over Moline 6-0. Tyler Robertson earned the win as Aviston will take Moline again today starting at 5. An Aviston win and they would be the champion; Moline would need to win twice today to win the title. Both teams have advanced to the Region Tournament in Michigan.
The day began with Danville eliminating Wheaton 11-1 and then after Moline lost to Aviston they then eliminated Danville 8-5.
