The State Senior Legion Baseball Tournament continued in Aviston yesterday as the home Express advanced to the semifinals with their 10-0 win over Alton. Aviston got a combined no-hitter from Easton Rakers and Nile Adcock. They advance to take on Moline after their 7-2 win over Danville. That game will be at 5pm tonight with the winner advancing to the State Finals and will be guaranteed a trip to the Region Tournament in Michigan as the top 2 teams advance.
Wheaton advanced from the losers bracket by eliminating Barrington 6-3. They will play Danville today in another elimination game at 2:30.
