11u: The Salem 11u is preparing for the opening of their District Tournament in Robinson. They will play their first pool game at 5 pm on Saturday against Robinson and then return on Sunday at 5 pm to play Olney. After pool play, the teams will be seeded and will play a double-elimination tournament for the right to advance to sectionals. The Salem 11u all-stars are coached by Joby Bryan.
10u: The 10u Little League Sectionals will be held at the Salem Little League Complex tomorrow. The three-team round-robin begins at 11 with Champaign East taking on Macomb. Then at 2 pm, the winner of the first game will play Olney at 1 pm followed by the loser of the opening game against Olney at 3. The top 2 teams will move on to the State Little League Tournament in South Elgin.
13u: The South Central 13u Storm Chasers are at the GMB World Series in Osage Beach, Missouri as they will play 3 pool games today and tomorrow with the bracket elimination set up for Sunday to finish their season. The Storm Chasers are 27-11 on the season and will start their quest for their 3rd straight tournament title at 12:30 today when they play Central Lee Hawks out of Iowa. Then at 2:30, SC will take on Gamers Academy out of St Louis. Pool play finishes up Saturday morning at 8 am against Gamers Buck out of Wisconsin. The top 4 teams will advance to the gold bracket on Sunday to play for the championship belt, while the other 6 teams will play in the single-elimination Silver Ring Tournament on Sunday. SC is coached by Shawn Lotz and Toby Gullion.
