Beautiful morning for Cross Country! Great conditions for racing and a great morning for Woodlawn High School Cross Country at The Trenton-Wesclin Invitational.
Senior Zelena Koch made it 10 medals in her last 10 meets and ran her best time of the season! She would place 21st (Top 30 received medals) out of 75 in the girls Varsity Division with a 21:35. She really stepped it up today running nearly 2 minutes faster than her race at Chester on Thursday! What a difference the weather can play when racing!
Freshman Zaylor Koch also had a great day, dropping her time tremendously and running back under the 24 minute mark this morning (23:32) for 42nd place in the Girls Varsity Division. This would be her 2nd fastest time of the season!
And in the Boys Varsity Race it was Freshman Camden Hughes wanting so badly to beat his personal best time for his freshman season, and Hughes would do just that, running his fastest 3 mile of his career to date finishing in (19:20) and 58th place out of 106 Varsity Boy runners. Camden would again crush his 3rd mile of the race, and needed to do so to better his career PR by 10 seconds! It was exciting and a great feeling to see his hard work pay off and set a new milestone for himself!
All 3 runners are trending in the right direction as we inch closer to postseason!
