The Salem Wildcats won the very competitive Robinson girls golf regional shooting 343, beating perennial powers St Anthony 346 and Mt Carmel 348 as all three advance. Robinson’s Leah Correll was medalist shooting 69. Salem was led by Reagan Shuler as the junior shot 82 and finished 4th, Mya Russell was 6th with her 83 and Brynn Kessler shot 84 to finish 9th. Also for Salem, Kinsley Gansauer shot 94, Brenna Hays 101 and Addison Lever 116.
At Carlyle, Breese Central’s Maya Kampwerth shot 5-under 67 that included a hole in one as she won the individual title. Her Lady Cougars were 2nd to Mater Dei 311-332 as they both advance to the Sectionals along with Alton Marquette. The Annies shot 371 and were 5th. Individually moving on included Centralia’s Chloe Hodge and Emily Hoerchler as well as Carlyle’s Kailee Gregg and Ava Meyer. Not moving on were Sandoval’s Annabelle Garrett who shot 107 an Ava Sturgeon who shot 133. Not moving on for the Annies, Sienna Feig 93, Gwen Jack 104, Charleigh Garren 105 and Reese Koester shot 122.
Okawville won the Waterloo Regional shooting 345 and advances along with Steelville 359 and Columbia 364. Nashville’s Siena Popejoy advanced shooting 93.
Massac County won the Zeigler Regional shooting 333, Anna 342 and Benton 363 all advance. Carterville’s Merryn Elliott was medalist shooting 74.
