Franklin Park improved to 4-3 on the season with a 7-3 win over Effingham. Nolan Krutsinger was fantastic on the hill going 5.2 allowing 2 hits and no earned runs with 5 striekouts. Easton keller closed it out getting the final 4 outs. EJ Wolfe had 2 hits including a double, Maxsen Tiemann had 2 hits and 2 RBI, Easton Henson also drove in a run with 2 hits. Keller added a long double. Salem is at Aviston today.
The Selmaville Rockets beat Central City 6-5. The Citians jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning, but Selmaville flipped the game in the bottom of the fifth, scoring five runs on 4 hits to take the 6-4 lead. Isaac Knapp’s 3-run, inside the park home run was the biggest blow in the inning. Izac Holsapple allowed 1 hit and 3 runs, 1 earned, over 4 innings. Simon Fischer appeared in relief. Rayne Schoonover went 2-2.
The Patoka Mohawks are still undefeated after beating Iuka 15-6. Emmitt Thompson was the winning pitcher allowing 2 hits and 2 earned runs. Eli Bookhout took the loss allowing 5 earned runs. Hosea Weems, Zachariah Jones, Royce Nattier and Garrett Hunter added Iuka hits. John Garrett had 2 hits and 3 RBI, Nolan Eddy went 4-4. Iuka will host Central City today.
Sandoval beat Raccoon 8-6. Hunter Timmons doubled home a run and scored twice. Also earned the win on the mound in relief. Alaric Hunter doubled and drove in 2, Case Purcell added a hit along with Kentley Lyons, Jax Benzschawel. Jax worked 5 innings allowing 5 hits and struck out 8.
North Clay lost to Cumberland 9-3, Flora 4-2 over Olney and Pinckneyville beat Nashville 6-4.
