In prep baseball, Odin/Patoka out hit Brownstown/St Elmo but it wasn’t enough as they lost 6-4. Hunter Thompson had 2 Eagles hits. Brady Cain struck out 10 allowing 4 hits and 4 runs. Cain and Drew Haines had RBI along with Isaac Guerrettaz.
Christ Our Rock got a walk off single from Garret Beal as they beat Wayne City 2-1. Noah Kenley drove in the first Stallions run earlier in the seventh before Beal’s heroics. Garrett Denton allowed 2 hits and 1 run with 9 strikeouts in his start for the Stallions. Beal go the win throwing 2 innings of no-run relief. The Stallions will host Woodlawn today.
Dieterich beat North Clay 18-5 Thursday. Cooper Lewis had a nice day in the loss for the Cardinals going 3-4 with a double and the Cards outhit Dieterich 11-10. Colton Cartright drove in 2. Traden Kessler, Cooper Storzum and Bryce Bohnhoff. Gavin Minehart homered in the win.
