The Salem Lady Wildcats opened up their golf season with a trip to the Charleston Doubles Invitational. Mya Russell and Reagan Shuler were 2nd and the Lady Cats were 2nd as a team.
Centralia freshman Chloe Hodge was medalist in just her 2nd high school golf match shooting 40 in the triangular with Benton and Mt Vernon. Annies Gwen Jack was tied for 4th shooting 48 and Sienna Feig shot 49 to tie for 6th. Mt Vernon’s Callie Haarmann, another freshman, was tied for 2nd shooting 43 and teammate Londyn Steffy, also in her first year of high school, was 6th shooting 49.
Carlyle’s Ava Meyer shot one-under 35 to take medalist honors in their dual with Okawville at Governor’s Run. Okawville won the match shooting 173 with Carlyle only having 3 golfers, not enough for a team score. Emmalyne Muniz was 2nd shooting 38.
