The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a white Ford F150 pickup truck involved in a hit and run accident where a front column of the Day-Macz Funeral home in Patoka was struck.
The truck reportedly ran up the front sidewalk of the funeral home before crashing into the pole. After briefly getting stuck, the driver was able to flee the scene and was later seen traveling at a high rate of speed past the Fast Mart leaving town.
The truck hit the column hard enough to knock it out of the connection to the roof and to lean it over.
Owner Tom Macz says fortunately there was no damage to the inside of the building so funeral services can still be held until repairs are made.
