A 25-year-old Salem man was airlifted from the scene of a single-vehicle crash late Saturday night on Iuka Road north of Kell Road.
Initial information from the Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies says Dalton Hill of Julia Drive was traveling northbound on Iuka Road when he ran off the east side of the road into several trees.
Kell Firemen, who were called to the scene, easily opened the pickup truck door and helped load Hill into a United Medical ambulance. An Air Evac helicopter was called to the scene and then airlifted Hill to a regional hospital for treatment of injuries.
The crash occurred at 11:09 Saturday night. The sheriff’s department was notified by the vehicle’s crash notification system.
