The Franklin Park Bobcats are now 1-1 on the season with an 11-1 loss at home to Carterville on Wednesday. EJ Wolfe, Nolan Krutsinger, Easton Keller and Noah Smith all had hits in the loss. Keller and Nash Mulvany pitched. Franklin Park is right back at it today when they travel for the first time to play at DuQuoin.
South Central scored 10 runs in the second inning helping them to an 18-1 win over Sandoval to open up their season. EJ Garner and Evan Farthing each had 2 hits with Farthing and Kash Hall driving in 3 runs each. Gage Peddicord, Tucker Mette, Leighton Sporleder and Jack Barry drove in 2 runs each. Luke Guerrettaz was the starter for the Falcons allowing 2 hits and 1 run over 3 innings with 7 strikeouts. Hunter Timmons led Sandoval going 2-2 with an RBI.
