The Franklin Park Bobcats opened up their baseball season with an 11-10, 8-inning win over visiting Carmi. Ethan Parrett scored the game winning run on a 2-out wild pitch after leading off the inning with a walk. The Bobcats overcame 7 errors defensively and benefited from 8 walks and 4 hit batters. Jasen Lindsey had 2 hits, Nolan Krutsinger singled along with Maxsen Tiemann and Lewis Eddy. Krutsinger went 4 innings as the starter and struck out 6. EJ Wolfe go the win in relief going 4 innings. Salem back at it Wednesday when they host Carterville at 4:15.
Selmaville beat Field 13-1 thanks to 10 runs in the opening inning. Isaac Knapp had 2 hits, Jacob Butts, Lucas Howe and Knapp each drove in 2 runs.
