Odin Post 543 began their 5th Division Junior Legion Tournament at Southeastern Illinois College in Harrisburg. They opened on Thursday with a 5-3 win over Marion. Ryker Dodson led Odin with 3 hits. Brady Cain gave up 5 hits and 3 runs over 6.1 innings and Dodson appeared in relief.
Odin then lost to Alton on Friday in a tight 4-3 walk-off defeat. Will McCormick drew a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the 7th. Owen Caldwell gave Odin the lead in the top of the 6th 3-2 on a bases loaded walk. Hunter Hyde was the starter giving up 4 hits and no earned runs over 5.1.
Post 543 was supposed to be back in action today Marion, but because of football the Wildcats had to forfeit, so Odin will play at 2:30 against the loser of Alton and Carrier Mills.
