Formal charges have been brought in Will County Court at Joliet against two persons believed responsible for the killing and dismemberment of 38-year- old Dalewayne Turner of Plainfield.

An investigation into his death began on June 28th when his severed arm was found by a boater in Lake Mattoon.

Turner’s wife, 62-year-old Robin Turner, and his half-brother, 26-year-old James Adams, were ordered held without bond after being charged with concealment of a homicide and dismembering a human body. NO murder charges have been filed at the present time.

Court records indicate the killing took place at the home the three shared in Plainfield on June 21st after the two half-brothers had a verbal argument over sports cards. Another brother of the victim called 911 after the two charged in the case allegedly told him what happened and that Dalewayne was in a freezer at the home. Adams later reportedly told police that he did it, but it was out of self-defense.

A search warrant later allowed police to enter the freezer at the home that was locked shut and weighed down with cinder blocks as well as sealed with duct tape and covered with a blanket. Dalewayne Turner's head, neck, and torso were found inside.
