Salem Police arrested 44-year-old Jason Tatum of Elm Street in Salem for alleged aggravated domestic battery on Saturday morning. He is accused of getting into an altercation with another family member at their home. No one required medical treatment. Tatum was taken to the Marion County Jail to await a decision on formal charges and a first court appearance on Monday.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the theft of a riding and a push lawn mower from a home in the 3200 block of Nation Road in rural Salem. The theft was reported at 7:46 Saturday evening.
