The Salem varsity Wildcats baseball team split a pair of games at Alton on Saturday. They fell to the Adidas A’s Gold 9-6 in spite of outhitting the A’s 7-4. Luke Boldt led Salem with a pair of hits. Kaden Cripps, Landen White, Boldt, Owen Tennyson and Nicholi Marhanka drove in Salem runs.
Salem won the 2nd game over the A’s Navy 11-0. Salem scored 6 runs in the 3rd to blow the game open. Salem had 17 hits in the game. Jax Schuabert went 3-3, Tripp Garden and Jennings had 3 RBI. Zane Applegate, Marhanka and Scout Puricelli had multiple hits for Salem. The Cats play again tomorrow at home against Centralia in a double header.
