Mrs. Irene M. Luchinski of Centralia, IL, formerly of Radom, IL, passed away in her sleep at High Point Residence in Centralia, IL, on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 9:25 P.M. She had attained the age of 99 years, 5 months and 27 days.

Irene was born on December 2, 1926, in Radom, IL the daughter of Edward and Helen (Zienta) Janowski. She was united in marriage to Frank N. Luchinski on September 1, 1947, in Radom, IL and he preceded her in death on September 10, 2015. She spent the earlier part of her married life with Frank, in Franklin Park, IL, raising their 4 children. Upon Frank’s retirement, they moved back to Radom, IL.

Irene was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom, IL. She was a wonderful homemaker, who loved to cook, bake, sew and quilt, although her greatest joy was fishing. No one ever left her house empty handed, whether it was a jar of her canned fruit or vegetables or a piece of her homemade dessert, she always enjoyed sharing what she had. She also enjoyed family get togethers, playing cards, shaking dice and listening to polka music.

Left to mourn her passing is her son, Donald (Jan) Luchinski of Hoffman Estates, IL, Karyn (Edward) Kuzmicki of Melrose Park, IL and Sharyn (Shelby) Bundy of Odin, IL; 5 grandchildren, Eric, Ross (Nora), James (Nicole), Sarah (Floyd) and Jessica (Nicholas, Sr.); 9 great grandchildren, Darion, Nicholas, Jr., Aiden, Ariana, Kathryn, Liliana, Destiny, Leo and Aidoneus; a multitude of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Ronald Luchinski; 3 brothers, Raymond, Louis and Walter Janowski and 4 sisters, Leona Wachowski, Rosemary Naliborski, Loretta Pedtke and Viola Hambel.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom, IL on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 10 A.M. with Fr. Felix Anyikwa officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom, IL on Friday from 9 A.M. until the service hour.

Should friends desire, mass offerings or memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the St. Michael Cemetery and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
