Salem Community High School Prom will be held on Friday, May 1st.  Doors will open to the public at seven pm, with Prom scheduled from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m at B.E. Gum Gymnasium.

This year’s theme is “Meet Me at Midnight,” and the colors representing the theme are navy, light blue, gold, and white. Special music will begin at 9:00 p.m., with the coronation starting at 9:30 p.m. and the Grand March immediately following the coronation.  Retiring Queen Keylie Hancock (daughter of Brian and Jennifer Hancock of Iuka) and retiring King Keyton King (son of Mark and Stacey King of Salem) will lead the coronation.

Spectators may purchase reserved tickets for the gym’s chair seats for the coronation in the Main Office at SCHS from 7:40 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. starting Monday, April 27th, through Friday, May 1st. Ticket prices will be $5 for reserved chair seats. Cost for bleacher seats (general admission) is $3 per person and is only available for purchase at the door the night of prom.

As in past years, the school will prohibit any parent/spectator from walking on the gym floor during prom. Prom 2026 will be recorded and streamed live by Wabash Communications on Catch TV channel 98, Catch TV West on YouTube, and Catch TV Live Broadcasting on Facebook.  Please note that any individual who wishes to videotape on their own will NOT be allowed to use the school’s power outlets due to circuit overloading.

Prom 2026 programs will be available for download in the News and Events section at www.salemhigh.com beginning on Monday, April 27th.

Arrival Information:

For Prom 2026, students will enter the prom through the front gym lobby entrance of the SCHS building. Red carpet arrival with spectator viewing will be near doors 18, 19, and 20 in the front, with spectators using either door 18 or 20 for entering the prom.

Prom attendees will use Jefferson Street to line up for arrivals, proceed north behind Phillips 66, then turn left onto Seneff to return to Route 37. Seneff Street will be closed to through traffic. A map of these instructions can be found on the school website (www.salemhigh.com) under the Student Life, Prom tab, titled Drop Off Map.

Post Prom:

Post Prom will be held in the gymnasium after prom, from midnight – 3 a.m. The Salem Lions Club sponsors Post Prom. There will be a DJ, inflatables in the small gym, along with food and drinks for all attendees. There will be a cash grand prize at the end of the night, along with other prizes including dorm-size refrigerators, iTunes gift cards, food, gas, and clothing gift cards, electronic items, big-screen TVs, and much more.
