Rebecca “Becky” Jean, 69, of Salem, passed away on May 5th, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on June 10th, 1956, in Centralia, Illinois, to Ross Mulvaney and Iris Dean.
She was a Baptist and attended the First Baptist Church in Salem. She was a very caring woman, as seen by her long career as a nurse. She loved to dance, go fishing, and have cookouts. She loved dogs. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her loved ones.
She is survived by her longtime partner, Ronald Herman; son, Nathan Nelson; daughters, Leeanna Herman, Katie Herman, and Jamie Herman; and 5 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross Mulvaney and Iris Dean.
