Neva J. Isett, 92, of Salem, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. She was born May 29th, 1933, in Sullivan, Illinois, to Lonnie and Opal (Elliott) Redman.

She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Salem. She enjoyed helping with the different Church functions. She read her Bible as much as she could. Over the years she was employed by YAW nursing home in Odin. She also worked at Chromaloy Radiator and Barry’s RV Center in Mt. Vernon. She enjoyed gospel music, caring for animals, and working in her flower gardens. She was a talented pianist. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially cooking for them.

She is survived by her daughters: Cathy (Cecil) Parrish of Salem and Marla Linn of Salem; grandchildren: Shannon, Bruce, Brandy, and Marissa; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Lonnie and Opal Redman; husband: Richard Isett; son: Steven Lee; daughter: Lisa Lee

Cremation rites will be accorded, per her wishes. A private burial will take place at a future day. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Marion County Animal Control and will be accepted at Sutherland-Rankin Funeral Home, PO Box 97, Salem, Illinois, 62881.
