A 24-year-old Salem man has been sentenced to two years probation in Marion County Court after pleading guilty to five of nine child pornography charges pending against him.
Rayshawn Reams of West McMackin Street was arrested by Salem Police following an investigation by Jefferson County Sheriff’s Detective Bobby Wallace who is a member of the Crimes Against Children’s Task Force.
The investigation led to the issuance of a search warrant last October where multiple images of child pornography were found on Ream’s phone and other electronic items.
In addition to the two years probation, Reams was ordered to undergo drug, alcohol, and mental health evaluation and treatment, abstain from testing for drugs, have no contact with anyone under the age of 18, and have no internet-capable devices. He will also have to pay a $200 public defender fee.
