The Southeastern Illinois Drug Task Force has made another drug delivery arrest.

30-year-old Steven T. Bishop of South College Street Road was arrested at his home on Wednesday without incident on a warrant charging two counts of unlawful delivery of methamphetamine.  He is being held on a no-bond warrant pending his first appearance in Marion County Court on Thursday afternoon.

Over several months, the drug task force said they conducted a narcotics investigation that resulted in the illicit sale of methamphetamine.  The investigation remains ongoing.

No further information will be disseminated by the Southeastern Illinois Drug Task Force.

SEIDTF is comprised of the Salem Police Department, the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office, the Robinson Police Department, the Mount Carmel Police Department, and the Illinois State Police. This investigation was a cooperative effort among the area police departments to curb drug usage and violence in the area.
