Salem Police are investigating an auto theft and two additional car burglaries on Christmas Eve.

Police report an Orange Kia Soul was stolen from the parking lot of Produce Plus sometime before noon on Sunday.  It reportedly had the keys inside and had been left unlocked.  The car had been parked in the parking lot around 10 Friday night.   Anyone seeing a vehicle matching the description is asked to contact Salem Police.

The two additional car burglaries occurred in the 500 block of East Locust and the 500 block of South Washington.  Some miscellaneous items were stolen from the vehicle on East Locust sometime before 8:15 Sunday morning.   A wallet was stolen from the car on South Washington.  It was reported at 12:16 on Sunday afternoon.

Three vehicles have now been reported stolen in the past two weeks.  Two other car burglaries were reported on Friday.   As a result, police are asking residents to lock their vehicles and not leave the keys inside.
