A 45-year-old Salem man has been sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty to felony domestic battery.
The charge against Billy Smith of East Bryan was a felony due to three prior convictions for Domestic Battery in Fayette County. He admitted to making physical contact of an insulting or provoking nature with a household member in April of this year.
After getting out of prison, Smith will have to complete four years of mandatory supervised release. He will be given credit for time already served.
