The Centralia City Council Monday night will be asked to approve a $193,682 bid from Shores Builders of Centralia to make sidewalk improvements along several streets. The work includes sidewalk ramp improvements and other miscellaneous work along sections of South Sycamore, South Pine, East 7th and East 5th Street.

A resolution will come before the council that would allow procurement of a solar power system for the water treatment plant and a consulting agreement with Satori Enterprises LLC. Satori will assist with a request for proposal process and secure the most favorable systems or agreement that benefits the City of Centralia.

The council will be asked to accept a $357,000 Strong Communities Program grant to be used to acquire, demolish and green blighted properties.

A resolution will be presented to waive bidding and accept a $12,974 proposal from Global Technical Systems, Inc for 13 new mobile radios for the police department. Police Chief Christopher Locke says the new radios are a necessity and upgrades the mobile units to the same technology as the portable radios that were purchased earlier this year.

The council meeting begins at six Monday night at Centralia City Hall.
