A 16-year-old juvenile boy was injured Wednesday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Kinmundy Road at the Kingshighway intersection in Kinmundy.
Kinmundy Police say the juvenile was traveling at too great a speed when he ran off the side of the Kinmundy Road, struck a power pole and a street sign, then crossed Kingshighway and hit a mailbox and a second power pole before his pickup came to a stop in the street.
The juvenile was taken by his family to HSHS St. Anthony’s Hospital in Effingham for treatment of apparent minor injuries. He was ticketed for driving too fast for conditions.
The crash occurred at 7:27 on Wednesday morning.
