The Marion County Sheriff’s Department arrested a 64-year-old rural Farina man for the production of cannabis plants.
Thirteen plants, all about 13 feet tall, were found growing near the garage of the Chris Kessler home on Anglen Road. The sheriff’s department was first alerted by a motorist on Anglen Road who noted the smell of cannabis. When arriving on the scene, deputies reported the plants were in plain view near the garage of the home.
The plants were so large, the sheriff’s department had to use an ax to destroy them.
Kessler was given a notice to appear in court.
