2024 07/18 – Anthony Sitar

By Bruce Kropp Jul 19, 2023 | 10:06 PM

Anthony Sitar became a blessing to this world on December 7, 1987. Born with many severe disabilities, Anthony received education in Mt. Prospect, Illinois. Anthony was served at several different hospitals, facilities, and community living arrangements before becoming a loved resident of Murray Center in July of 2021.

Anthony’s disabilities left him unable to speak or walk, but he was able to communicate to staff his desires and needs through his loving personality. Anthony, affectionately also referred to as Tony, was quiet. Anthony required enhanced supervision due to his disabilities, and Derrick, Mike, Marlin, Vonnie, and Lisa provided Anthony with the care and love that carried him through his challenged life.

Murray staff was Anthony’s family, as he had no other family in his life. Anthony was well-loved and cared for. Anthony’s loss is great for those who had the privilege to serve and care for him. Anthony loved going for walks, listening to music, and having staff sing and clap to him. The Murray family is grieving, but knowing Anthony is now at peace and will no longer experience the struggles he has endured.

Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia is privileged to be assisting with arrangements for Tony. Online condolences and memories of Tony may be shared with his family by visiting www.maczfuneralhomes.com and/or on the funeral home’s Facebook page.
