Salem Police have announced a man wanted for the early Sunday morning armed robbery of the Circle K Convenience Store on West Main Street has been arrested.
39-year-old Brandon Kehn of the 1100 block North Trenary Street in Salem was taken into custody on a Marion County arrest warrant for armed robbery at an address on Illinois Route 177 just east of Hoyleton in Washington County. Kehn was initially taken to the Washington County Jail and was transferred overnight to the Marion County Jail where he is now being held on $200,000 bond.
Kehn is the second person arrested in connection with the armed robbery. 27-year-old Cheyenne Logue of the same North Trenary address was taken into custody when a search warrant was executed on her home Tuesday by Salem Police with assistance from Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies.
Salem Police say Logue was identified as the driver of the vehicle used to drop off and pick up Kehn.
Cheyenne was formally charged in Marion County Court on Wednesday with armed robbery based on the accountability theory and conspiracy. Judge Mark Steadlin set the bond at $75,000. State’s Attorney Tim Hudspeth had asked for $200,000. If released on bond, she was ordered to have no contact with Circle K, the clerk, or the clerk’s home. The public defender was appointed to represent her.
Kehn is accused of displaying a large kitchen knife at the clerk at Circle K and running from the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.
