The OPS Lady Eagles finished the regular season at 19-6 with their 4-2 win over Altamont. Trista Moore had 2 hits and 2 RBI. Macey Spicer, Kenzie Wilkerson and Brooklynn Hill each added a hit. Lauren Robb drove in a run. Spicer picked up her 13th win of the season. OPS will open up regionals tomorrow at Marissa to take on the hosts.
The 1a regionals opened up with quarterfinal games yesterday. Webber beat Cisne 19-9, Lebanon over Christ Our Rock 4-1, Mulberry Grove over Ramsey 12-1, New Athens shutout Gibault 16-0.
Today in 1a regional semifinal play, the South Central Lady Cougars open as the top seed in their own regional as they take on Webber today at 4pm.
Also, St Elmo and Albion will play at Altamont, Carlyle will play the hosts at New Athens.
