The Class S State Championship game will be played this afternoon at Rend Lake College. Woodlawn enters at 29-1 and will take on Central City at 27-6. The two teams met in the championship of the Woodlawn Tournament earlier this season with the Warriors coming out on top. Craig Holmes will have the broadcast of the game starting at 4pm on WJBD.
Class L State Opens Today, Centralia & Mount Vernon Will Take Part
The day begins with the quarterfinals of the Class L Tournament. The Centralia Tigers will open with Olney at 9:30 followed by Herrin and Whiteside at 10:45, Harrisburg and Casey Mount Vernon at 12 and then Belleville Central and O’Fallon Carriel at 1:15. The state semifinals will be on Tuesday and Thursday will be the trophy games.
