The Salem Lady Wildcats opened their game at home with Roxana last night on a 31-6 run that ended with 2 minutes left in the 2nd quarter. Roxana then went on a 32-6 run of their own to take a 1 point lead in the 4th quarter that they would grow to double digits as the Shells left with a 54-48 win over Salem.
Alesia Keller led Salem with 15 points to go along with 7 rebounds while going 5-of-8 from the foul line. Emma Gregg added 14 points and was 5-6 from the line with 5 rebounds. Jordan Kessler finished 2 points shy of a double-double with 8 points and 10 rebounds.
Freshman guard Daisy Daugherty led Roxana with 17 points, Laynie Gehrs had 13 off the bench and Kinsley Mouser added 10.
Salem falls to 11-14 on the season and 1-7 in the Cahokia as they travel to Freeburg on Thursday.
