Centralia Police have arrested an 18-year-old Centralia man for alleged aggravated fleeing and eluding and criminal trespass to land. Aiden Brasel of North Maple was taken into custody following a chase with police. No other details are yet available.
28-year-old Derek Kirgan of South Walnut in Centralia was arrested by Centralia Police for alleged felony theft.
A 32-year-old homeless Centralia man, Shane Bell, has been arrested on a Marion County felony failure to appear warrant in a pending possession of methamphetamine case. The bond is set at $5,000.
Salem Fire Protection District officials say they were able to put out a small grass fire burning under a car early Saturday night with no damage to the car. Jeremiah Martin of Salem reportedly had pulled off to the side of the 4400 block of Cross Road south east of Salem when experiencing mechanical problems with his car. Fire officials believe the vehicle set off the small fire underneath it.
